VERITROOPER

Scout Evaluation Terms

Effective August 9, 2026. The definitive license included with the installer controls software use. This page summarizes the evaluation offer so its material limits are visible before you request it.

Evaluation limits

The Scout evaluation is limited to 250 questions per audit, 20 total audits, and 30 days from first use. Evaluation documents are marked TRIAL VERSION. The evaluation is limited on volume and time, not by substituting a different grading engine.

Permitted use

Use the evaluation for internal assessment on systems and data you are authorized to test. Do not use it to violate law, third-party rights, confidentiality duties, provider terms, or security controls. Do not represent evaluation output as a VERITROOPER certification, legal opinion, or conformity assessment.

Your systems and providers

You are responsible for the data, models, endpoints, credentials, provider charges, permissions, and acceptance thresholds you configure. Air-gapped runs stay on-host. Configured cloud roles send the prompts and evidence required for that role directly to the provider you choose.

Evidence and limitations

Outputs describe the recorded scope, configuration, exclusions, sampling, abstentions, and verification mode. Absence of a finding is not proof beyond that scope. Successfully completed, seal-eligible packages may carry integrity material; incomplete or inconsistent runs may remain unsealed. An RFC 3161 trusted timestamp is conditional and deliberately absent from air-gapped runs. Human sign-off is explicit and is not automatic.

No legal or compliance determination

VERITROOPER produces testing and governance-supporting evidence. It does not provide legal advice, decide whether a system is legally in scope, perform a conformity assessment, or confer regulatory compliance.
